FETHIYE
 Loctated on a high plateau four kilometres from the coast and nestling at the foot of the pine-clad Babadag Mountain – a famous paragliding spot – the once sleepy village of Ovacik, along with its neighbour Hisaronu, has transformed into a bustling, resort with a distinctly British atmosphere.
The nearest beaches are the famous Blue Lagoon of Oludeniz – possibly the most photographed and iconic in Turkey – and the pebble and sand beach of Belcekiz. Both are around a five-minute journey by dolmus (local bus), which leave every ten minutes.
 Property
in the region ranges from two-bedroom new-build apartments from
around £90,000, to £150,000 upwards for detached four-
and five-bedroom villas with private pools.
Properties tend to offer good value for money here, as the beachfront premium doesn’t apply, despite the proximity of several great beaches.
If the nightlife gets a little sedate, the lively town of Fethiye is about 10 kilometres to the north.
Tourism
 In common with the surrounding resorts, the main season runs from April until October, with July and August being the busiest months. Rental occupation of around 20 to 25 weeks can be expected.
Transport
 Dalaman is the nearest airport, 35 kilometres to the north-east. You can fly here from most major UK airports, either by charter or scheduled service from the likes of BA, Turkish Airways, Excel Airlines and Avro. There is no public transport from the airport so the journey to Ovacik will have to be made by taxi or car hire.
