Bitez Turkey - property and information
Bitez
is located several kilometres from Bodrum in
a bay next to Gumbet. Its proximity to Bodrum gives
property buyers access to its restaurants, nightlife, promenade, history
and culture. It has a decent, small beach and a windsurfing school.
Bitez provides an alternative to buying in Bodrum, while being accessibly close to both that bustling resort, Milas-Bodrum airport, and a stone’s throw from Gumbet, a classic package holiday resort with more than its fair share of lively karaoke bars.
Day trips can be made to other local beaches, and via Bodrum there
is access to the Greek Islands of Kos, Rhodes, Marmaris and Altinkum.
The village of Bitez is a 15-minute-walk inland from Bitez on the coast and it remains completely unspoiled. Therefore, it is relaxing in a way that you can only find elsewhere in the Mediterranean in places such as Greece.
Down at the coast you will find award-winning beaches and the winds are favourable for a number of watersports and several hire companies have responded by setting up shop here.
Due to demand, properties in the Bitez area are highly sought-after.
Tourism:
The expansion of tourism in the area has seen hotels and restaurants being built on the Bitez coast. There are free sun-loungers on the sandy beach. The good watersports should offer extra rental potential and the quiet village may attract an older wealthier tenant.

Facilities/Amenities:
A world-renowned destination for windsurfing, Bitez is suitable for beginners and more experienced watersports enthusiasts.
Nightlife: Bitez
offers a quieter evening out than Gumbet and Bodrum.
Restaurants:
A number of old stone cottages have been converted into restaurants. The only Turkish Delight (Lokum) to be made on the Bodrum peninsula is made in Bitez.
